When word reached the Cobra organization that the Vector, the high-tech Battleforce 2000 jet, would be appearing at an air show in New York state, Firefly appropriated two Cobra Soldiers. He outfitted these men in gear more appropriate to his explosive personality. The three Cobras took the Vector after surprising the ground-based Joes with a gas mixture created by Firefly. Maverick gave chase in an old biplane and eventually caught up to the hijackers. With the help of local and federal authorities, the Vector was recovered and the three Cobras imprisoned.
