Capt. Grid-Iron's gun

Ever since my best friend showed me how to take apart Joe figures back in mid-80s, I have been coming up with all sorts of new or updated characters. Some of these figures have been preserved over the years by keeping them in an old army chest with the rest of my collection.
Brickhouse was a figure that I made many years ago (around 1995). At the time he was just a parts swap with no paint. Thanks to my rekindled interest in customizing, I decided to give him an updated look. Some new paint went a long way. I was really pleased with the way he came out.

Brickhouse is loosely based on me. I was given the name Brickhouse during a softball game and it stuck for some time.
