Black Mambas are the Night Ops side of the Range Vipers. They are the most unpredictable of Range Vipers, they perform covert surgical silent strikes on encampments to procure weapons and perform sabotage, ambush night patrols as well as full head on confrontations while the enemy is sacked out for the night.

Most of their helmets and weapons are fitted with the latest in night and infra red vision equipment, stolen from Night Viper equipment lockers. They cake their fatigues with mud and dirt to blend in and can move like the wind, fast and silent.

In one part of the world where they have been encountered, the locals call them the "Hungry ghosts." They believe that the dead have risen to come and claim the souls of warriors.
