I decided to change Chameleon into her own character instead of a GI Joe version of Baroness, so what follows has nothing to do with Hasbro's character. I had this LBC pieced together and no idea where to go with it until I started putting The Phoenix Guard together as a replacement for GI Joe.

Chameleon joined GI Joe just before they were shutdown by the government. She went back to her old post with Army intelligence. When GI Joe was reformed she decided not to rejoin. She remained at her assignment until General Rey personally recruited her for The Phoenix Guard. Signing on as a founding member gave Chameleon a sense of purpose that she did not have as a Joe. She is proud of her new role, unaware that the group is being groomed as GI Joe's replacement.
