Bio: When the real Cobra Commander returned and imprisoned the imposter Cobra Commander, who was in reality a Crimson Guard named Fred VII, he also imprisoned many he considered traitors. This included Dr. Mindbender, Firefly, Zartan, Cobra Commander's own son Billy, and several Cobra agents that had been hired by Fred or Destro, who had retreated back to his family castle in Scotland; those being Crystal Ball, Voltar, and Croc Master.

When Vipers were sent to take a count of the number of bodies in the buried freighter, they lied and said they had done so when they had in actuality not. The only ones to die in the freighter as Cobra Commander had planned were Fred, Crystal Ball and Dr. Mindbender. Billy and Zartan escaped almost immediately, taking with them Voltar and Croc Master.

It was because of Croc Master's swamp-based skills that Zartan hired him and his reptilian allies to provide security for the Dreadnoks' Everglades Compound. So far, both sides have been happy with this arrangement; the Dreadnoks' rarely have to worry about intruders and Croc Master can train and breed his pets as he wants.
