Fire A.N.T.S. (Android Napalm Transport System) are based on the Inferno B.A.T. design which while good in theory proved faulty in practice: the Joes targeted them first, usually taking out any surrounding Cobras. Even if one did sneak through, it had no way to penetrate reinforced armor, negating its destructive potential.

Fire A.N.T.S. are mass produced as a first wave offensive weapon. They maintained the Inferno B.A.T .'s increased aggressiveness programming but put back in their group awareness with one major modification: if one is destroyed others home in on its location and attack the area in larger numbers. They have powerful pincer claws to tear into armor and pack enough punch to destroy things from the inside out.

From an interview with the late Techno Viper 13 on Cobra TV News, "The tests we've run are inconclusive at best. We really haven't field tested them or have enough data to conclude how effective they really are. For all we know they could blow up while being deployed. Oh, we're live? Uh, um, but rest assured that the Fire A.N.T.S. will take down GI Joe and the America establishment. HAIL COBRA!"
