Festes is based on a real guy my brother met when he worked at a gas station. The guy told this story of how he had tried 2 years in a row to get some kind of motorcycle convention together but no one ever showed up. I think that's hilarious and my brother said that the guy looked like Monkeywrench, so the custom was easy.

As for his role on the Joe team, I figure he works in the motor pool, in charge of all the Silver Mirages and whatnot. He's a tough guy who knows his bikes.
