Using stealth camouflage and armed with a katana blade that can cut steel like butter and even deflect bullets, this mysterious, "cyborg ninja" moves through Shadow Moses Island, leaving behind a trail of dead bodies.

When finally confronted by government agent Solid Snake, the two warriors commence to battle in hand-to-hand combat. During the course of this battle, Snake discovers something familiar to him. As the Cybrog Ninja reveals more clues to their connection, Snake finally puts the pieces together and discovers the horrible truth behind this mysterious entity.

Once thought dead after the fall of Zanzibar years before, the Cyborg Ninja is revealed to be none other than Solid Snake's former best friend and the only member of Unit FOX-HOUND to recieve their highest codename, "Fox"...GREY FOX!
