King Slender was a fun one for me with my NES Pro Wrestling set. It's when I started to hit a wall. I could have just gone with HACKs blanks for the entire group. Really gone for the cheap "well, he has a different head and colors so he's totally a different guy" route that they did for the game itself. But I wanted builds and heights that reflected the bio screens, some variety. Which is all well and good until you realize that there's only so many "nude" body parts to mix and match with. I was running out of parts by the time I got to Slender, and if I remember right, my initial Slender build ended up becoming Great Puma instead.

King Slender

The second man to use the King Slender name and the son of the original, Slender's roots go back to the very beginning of pro wrestling as a national phenomenon. His father was a prominent champ in the waning days of the territorial era and had a hand in training Sgt. Slaughter in the art of wrestling. Some say he may also have trained Destro's trainer, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, but no one involved admits anything. Slender Sr. parlayed his success into an ownership stake in the VWA and largely retired from the ring to focus on the business. His son, enamored of the life from a young age, proved himself on the independent circuit before taking on the King Slender name and joining the VWA. With his father deciding to merge with the AAWF, Slender Jr. is less sure of his status, but remains confident in his abilities to help keep him a contender for the title.
