The Horde,
The Horde, are a group of former Cobra genetics experiments that failed. They were then cast into a dark pit known as "The Hole" for disposal or re-engineering. One experiment in particular decided he and a batch of rejects were not going to accept being disposed of. His Name is Nocturnous, his genetic transformation was similar to Venomus Maximus and he is as strong as Big Boa, with the ruthless disposition of Serpentor. There are no limits to Nocturnous power, all that is known is, the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets.
The Horde's first objective is to destroy Dr. Mindbender and his "Dungeon of Doom", and then they plan to bring down Cobra Commander and seize control of Cobra and take over the world. They will lay waste to anyone that stands against them. Thier only weakness is that they have to periodically have gene treatments to maintain there genetic mutations and alterations. After Nocturnous and the first four rejects escaped " The Hole" they began to rescue other experimental rejects and other Cobra cast offs. Dr. Bindbender didn't care much about the early escapees figuring they would die soon any way with out treatment. But when he found his genetic fodder was dwindling he began to wonder just what he might have unleashed.
Kronos- "Nocturnous" personal guard and protector. Formally a "Flak Viper" and "Skull Buster", was one of the elite of his kind, he was also one of the largest. Standing at 7'2" and weighing 360 lbs, liked to that of a giant among the Cobra ranks. Kronos would spend time reading and quoting "Sun's" Art of war and Greek Mythology. After being injured in a battle with G.I. Joe, Kronos never made it back into the ranks the Flak Vipers. It was said that his love for philosophy and mythology made him soft. His size and strength made him a perfect candidate for Dr. Mindbenders secret new Venom strain, utilizing the DNA of creatures of legend. (Werewolves, Vampires and Big Foot) When the bonding process failed to take he was left for dead and tossed into "The Hole". While recovering from the experiments, he was given the name "Kronos" by Nocturnous because of his size and knowledge of Greek Mythology. He reminded Nocturnous of the titan leader "Kronos", he would talk about while in "The Hole". Honored that he was given the name Kronos he swore his life and allegiance to protecting Nocturnous at all cost even his own life. Impressed by Kronos loyalty and willingness to give his life, made him his personal body guard and protector. Having suffered the same disappointment and lack of appreciation by Cobra, as the other Horde members, Kronos too developed a deep hatred for Cobra and wanted revenge. Kronos on occasion has been seen in the jungle of Cobra Island by scouts and security details as a hungry devouring GIANT that eats Cobras for lunch. Tales have been reported about a giant that lives in the jungle biting the heads off Cobra's and spitting them out. Kronos is unforgiving and determined to annihilate anything with a Cobra emblem. When the war on Cobra Island starts, Kronos will be the one to hold Dr. Mindbender while Nocturnous tortures him to death.
