Not a lot is known about the smuggler Malcolm Reynolds, Mal to his friends which are few. He has prior military experience, but no record of this can be found. He leads a small band of mercs from a mobile base known only as Serenity. He is the Captain of this crew which consists of Jayne (the grunt), Wash (the pilot), Zoe (his second), Kaylee (mechanic), Inara (covert intel), Simon (medic) and his sister River (unknown). This crew has helped the Joes on several occassions against Cobra.
