In 1970, GI Joe officially went from being a moveable fighting man to an Adventurer. In doing so, he gained some new features during the 70s. Kung-Fu Grip, flocked ''life like'' hair and beards and also specialties.

Whereas the 1960s Joes were all meant to represent the average soldier, 1970s Adventure Team members started being specialists such as Air Adventurer and Sea Adventurer.

Man of Action stood out from the others. He had no beard and was more military than the others.
