Having served as the equivalent of the Chief Petty Officer on the aircraft carrier Minas Gerais (the ex-British H.M.S. Vengeance retrofitted for Brazilian use) until it's decommission in 2001, Marujo has seen every major engagement and operation that the Marinha do Brazil has undertaken in recent history.

Of all the customs I've ever done, this was the easiest and also the most controversial.

I love foreign figures, the quirkier the better. Looking at this one, I could see a way to replicate it using almost no painted parts. The only paint on this guy is the painted hat. He took about 5 minutes to paint and put together the parts.

I've had everything from congratulations to threats of bodily violence from people looking at this custom. Perhaps it had something to do with my line of thinking that can loosely be articulated as "Screw the Scalpers, Make your own!"

Foreign figures are cool, but usually expensive, and generally the parts are available to make your own. This custom proves that you can have cool copies of foreign figures without paying foreign prices. This custom is so simple there's no reason not to make one yourself if you are interested in the character.
