Marc Spector was an amateur boxer who was being tagged as the next 'big thing.' He was a military brat that had seen most of the world. At age 17 he wittnessed the murder of his parents by what he could only describe as a 'ninja dressed in all white.' He immediately enlisted and began training. While in Egypt he found a cult who worshipped the moon god Khonshu. They trained him in the ways of the shadows, but during the training the same white ninja attacked the cult and put a sword through his chest. He awoke in the ruins of the temple under the statue of Khonshu wrapped in it's cloak. He took up the title of Moon Knight believing himself an avatar of Khonshu. It seems as though his abilities also increased particularly at night. He found Snake Eyes of the Joes, explained his story and has also been taken on as a student of the Arashikage Clan.
