Kobra was an operator of the Special Operations Battalion of the Croatian Army, and was recognized as the best operator in the entire battalion. The death of his best friend resulted from the orders of an inexperienced officer from NATO special operations, when an accident was caused which Kobra always thought could have been averted.

He took this as an excuse to defect and join the organization created by Cobra Commander.

Kobra is an expert sniper. In night operations alone, he has on his record 78 confirmed deaths.
