I'm not fond of the massive overload of ninja stuff in G.I. Joe; with their superhuman skills and general lack of weaknesses, they might as well be superheroes, something that became increasingly clear in the writing and art for old Snake Eyes in the later parts of the Marvel run.

Nevertheless, both Ninja-Ku and Satan are too much part of the South American run to ignore. I tried to set myself a challenge with this one, to create a ninja using no ninja body parts. I very nearly succeeded, but the Snake Eyes lower legs were just too good to pass up. Overall, I'm very pleased with this one. Not pleased enough to make me actually like ninjas, but then miracles rarely happen.
