Head: 1989 Deep Six
Chest: 2002 Big Ben
Arms: 2000 Hawk
Waist: ???
Upper legs: 1987 Falcon
Lower legs: 1984 Mutt

Hasbro pumped out three Big Ben figures from 2001 to 2003. Along with Big Ben, the chest was also used for Crossfire, Rock 'N Roll, and Shrage. The sculpted ammo belt really is a great piece of design, but using it so much made for an overexposure of the look.

The Shrage figure is probably the most successful in not looking like Big Ben because it uses streamlined arms.

I wanted to try something even more different to help set the chest apart from its other uses, so I worked it as a vest. The collar is painted to match the arms, creating the look of a shirt separate from the vest.

Normally, I dislike when heads don't have noticeable necks. In this case, the way the Deep Six head sits on the shoulders adds to the character. Also, it's a different look than the other characters using the chest.

The legs, made from Lt. Falcon's uppers and Mutt's lowers, took some tweaking. However, the end result works nicely because the uppers and lowers both have the same size and amount of cloth folding in them.

Thanks for looking.
