File Name: Borstead, Jack
Birthplace: Perth, Australia
Current Whereabouts: Unknown

Jack Borstead's past was unremarkable: born in the city, he moved with his family to the country at the age of 2 and grew up living the farm life, eventually taking over his family's cattle ranch. He married, had two children (a son and a daughter), and was essentially no more remarkable than any of his neighbors in any way...until the night his family was brutally slaughtered in their homes by what authorities publicly stated were, "persons unknown."

Jack survived that attack, losing his left eye to the attackers, whom he swore were anything BUT human; he could only call them "monsters", having caught little more than glimpses of them as they tore apart his family. The authorities insisted that wasn't so, going so far as to tell Jack if he persisted in pushing his story, evidence would point to him as the killer, and he would be locked away for life. Bitter and seemingly without hope, Jack accepted the deal as if he had no choice; not long afterward Jack packed up a few belongings and disappeared.

He would reappear a different man sometime later in India, after killing a monkey-demon that had been terrorizing people around New Delhi. Though it only got tabloid treatment, it was not the first time Jack would show up with some gruesome trophy, and an underground following sprang up, tracking his movements and the creatures he'd killed. The Black Watch also took an interest in him, observing but never getting close enough to be involved.

It can be said that wherever monsters threaten, Jack can be found...but at times his hatred of things he doesn't consider natural can be too much, causing him to run afoul of the law and those who might otherwise protect such creatures from harm. It's also caused him to run afoul of the Joes, who consider him at times to be almost as much of a monster as the things he hunts...
