Captain Dougal Cullen is unique in the pirating world as he employs a falconer. It may seem counter intuitive to have a bird man on board a pirate ship but Peregrine has trained his falcon to not only hunt but scout. It can scout for land, other boats, etc. Sure they have radar but the bird can be sent out with a small camera attached to its leg to snap pics of a potential target.

Peregrine has been vital at sending intelligence during long combat with the remains of the Joe Team flotilla.
