"Operation: Basilisk. We've run across that name several times in captured Cobra files. What it is, however, is the big question. Interrogations have lead to comflicting reports.

An ultimate weapon, a attack scenerio, a new trooper. Cobra wants to keep it under wraps, hence the policy of disinformation, even to their own troops.

We have had a little bit of a break though. A hidden section was found in a stronghold we recently raided. Inside were living quarters. And this uniform.

It appears that this individual is being groomed to take over Cobra someday. Nobody lives forever. Cobra Commander realizes that.

What is unclear is what this person is. Clone, a child raised under wing, a genetically or cybernetically enhanced individual.
