This custom fell hot on the heels of the custom flight suit for Countdown. Given that both are Air Force officers turned NASA astronauts, I thought that they should have a symmetry in their designs.

However, while Countdown needed to have plausible deniability in his uniform, I decided that Payload could wear something that advertises his affiliations.

Thus, he receives gold clusters (for his rank of Major) and a NASA circle patch on his uniform.
