The first couple of waves had such iconic characters that were so unique and awesome. Recondo for me always led this. He had a Magnum PI thing going on and was cool in the cartoon. At the time he also looked completely different then most of the other figures that were out which made him stand out-that and his hat and wrapped up jungle gun-just coolness all around.

I wanted to make the figure closer to the original so I worked on the horrible hair he had been sculpted with.
then I repainted his face adding details and bringing out what was otherwise a really nice sculpt.
I then went to his arms but cutting off the cuffs form the arms he came with, hollowing them out, and sliding them up over the upper arms therefore giving him a rolled up sleeve look.
I then gave him Flint's arms and Obi-Wan's hands.

Lastly I repainted him a bit bringing him closer to the original card art and his appearance in the comics and called it a day.
