She has previously had to infiltrate a highly classified scientific installation on an island that resulted in many near-death experiences courtesy of the escaped experiments therein. Her past beyond that is highly classified. She now serves alongside Scarlett in the intelligence division of the G.I. Joe team. Not even Hawk knows where she's really from.
