DC vigilante and former Robin Jason Todd returned from the dead. Trained by Batman as the second Robin, he had developed a much more punative attitude towards criminals. He was responsible for at least one questionable death in his role as Robin. He was killed by the joker after being beaten half to death with a crowbar and then blown up. Brought back during the Infinite Crisis and trained by Talia Al Ghul he became the Red Hood.
