Sam Fisher is a former Navy SEAL, former member of Third Echelon a sub-branch of the NSA, and currently working in a position that has him reporting directly and only to the President of the United States.

He has crossed paths with the Joes infiltration expert, Snake Eyes. They fought to a draw Snake Eyes escaped with the target that Sam Fisher was tasked with retrieving.
