When I was heavy into writing stories for the original characters in the EXCAL verse, Squire Leonidas played a decent sized role, and was on the verge of becoming a centerpiece to the story. As his title implies, he was not yet a Paladin, but had become very close friends with Knighthawk, while "serving" him in a training capacity. His background was that he was a royal from a small European nation, was cocky and smarmy, but talented. Knighthawk disliked him immediately, but saw potential and worked on him more on his personality than on his combat skills.
