During the events commonly known as WW3 Recondo had been classified as KIA, it was later exposed that he in fact had gone in deep cover as a Cobra trooper and was leaving intel for the team to gather, in the final days of the campaign The Joe team sent one of his Tiger Force teammates to extract him from the nest of vipers at the MARS plant. Retrofitting one of the decommissioned SkyPatrol Raven's and uploading the clearance codes from Barrel Roll Skystriker disguised as a Strato-Viper not only retrieved Recondo but managed to avoid both friendly and enemy fire. Again proving he's the best at what he does even if no one knows exactly who he is.
