After being recruited by G.I. JOE and carrying out many successful missions tracking elusive human targets, Chief Petty Officer Chris Groen, aka Tracker, was sent to Langley to spend time in the CIA. There he developed his skills to include the most advanced intelligence gathering abilities the U.S. had to offer. This also allowed him to develop skills outside of the battlefield, performing covert high level missions, as well as forming many international relationships & contacts worldwide. He was soon to be transferred back to G.I. JOE to use his newly enhanced tracking skills to hunt down the most elusive enemies of the state, with emphasis on the Cobra organization's high level leaders and operatives.

Most recently his target has been tracking down Zartan as he creates havoc throughout the middle east & Somalia. Tracker has teamed up with desert special operatives Dust & Sandstorm.
