I originally began this figure after reading "Michael Chabon Presents the Amazing Adventures of the Escapist #1" (Feb. 2004.) I also knew I was going to use an Aero-Viper/Dredhead cast with the Outback torso. And those two pieces sat in my WIP box until Custom Celebration 2011, over 6 years! I wish the quality of the finished product was worthy of the wait! I tried to bring this WIP out of the drawer for NJC #27 (All this and WWII) but didn't get him finished in time. In my opinion, The Escapist is the first, and best (looking at you, Sentry) ret-conned superhero.
