Twitch's original code name was "Jerk". It wasn't because he was nasty to everyone. It changed because he couldn't sit still for five minutes. The first three years into his Joe's career he didn't care what others thought. Then one evening in one of the TV rooms within the Pit watching something next to Spearhead, Twitch wouldn't stop moving. Spearhead told him to stop a few times which he did for a few minutes. Then 8 minutes later Spearhead stood up, pulls his side gun out on him, and said, "For the love of god would you stop moving about Jerk! I'm calling you 'Twitch' from now on!" Everyone in the room cheered.

Three days later, in the motorpool, General Hawk walks up to Jerk just as he was about to say something, Spearhead stuck his head out of a side window and said, "Sir, Jerk's new code name is 'Twitch'." General Hawk looked at both of them and replied, "Oh what the hell, so be it."
