Raptor has always felt slighted by the world, and especially the U.S. Govt. When Raptor was growing up on a tiny reservation in South Dakota, he would listen to the stories told by the elders. They described to him how their land never knew borders, how the mighty buffalo was hunted, and how the white man raped their women and took their lands. Raptor's heart was fueled by hatred and his soul consumed with vengeance after hearing the stories. He grew to hate the government of the white man, and set out on his own to destroy it. Eventually Raptor joined up with Cobra and used his special skills to help create and foretell the destruction which they would bring. Although serving mainly as a shaman to Cobra Commander, Raptor is usually found in the heart of battle reveling in it, crying out for vengeance for his people.
