No Zap. Nothing. Nada.

So I made one. After re-reading G.I. Joe Declassified I really wanted to finish all of the original 13 Joes. He was actually assembled after I made my Short-Fuze, so I already knew how to successfully cut the straps up and glue them on a lot easier. It was very nerve wracking the first time.

I was going to use the single pack Anchorhead Scene Biggs, but the head was actually a bit bigger and Breaker's helmet would barely fit. This one was smaller, looked better, and had black hair instead of light brown, so once again I got away without having to paint anything. It's kind of nice because I don't have to worry about accidentally chipping the paint when I pose him, but it feels like it's barely a few steps above an LBC.

Zap was hardly used at all on the cartoon. There's one scene in the first mini-series where you hear him talking off camera about that slave girl they get a glimpse of from Duke's memory. I think the rest is just him standing around in the background. I always thought he was really cool and he had quite a few appearances in the early years of the comic before he drifted into obscurity once the "Post Original Thirteen" started showing up.

I never had the original figure though. Even as a little kid I just could not get past the fact that he had the same head as Grunt. It scarred me. 25 years later the healing can begin. Zap has a mustache. All is right with the world.
