Zealot is the Iron Grenadier's ninja warrior. Since Cobra Commander has Storm Shadow working for him and the Joes have Snake-Eyes, Destro descided that he needed his own edged warrior. Zealot was recruited along with thousands of other canidates. Destro placed all possible canidates in the pit of death; a no holds, last man living, death match. It wasn't just the fighting skill of Zealot that interested Destro, but his tactical skills. Zealot had cunningly avoided fighting the others until there were only two others left. Zealot made a deal with one combatant to double team the other. Just when they were close, Zealot turned his blade on his partner at the same time their opponant was stabbed by him. Zealot is devious and deadly. He is skilled in several different martial arts, including Krav Magra
