GRID IRON was captain of the football team at West Point and graduated in the top 10 in his class. You can say he was qualified to command an army battalion. He then entered the Army where he graduated at Fort Bragg, as a Green Beret. After detachment, he joined the Delta* and participated in various Special Operations in the Persian Gulf, in the invasion of Iraq, Somalia and also participated in Yugoslavia. GRID IRON then joined G. I. Joe.
