Bushido is a former member of the Arashikage clan, leaving after the death of the clan's master, to search out the murderer. After many years, he found that he was no closer to the truth, only finding small rumours that all lead to a mysterious organization known as Cobra. Following up these rumours, he encountered Storm Shadow, who many suspected murdered his uncle, thus leading to his abandoning the clan. Bushido believed otherwise, but could not get Storm Shadow to cooperate with him and following a heated battle, he found he was no closer to the truth. But, having now investigated Cobra, he saw what they were doing to his homeland and the poisonous effect they were having on the world. This led him to join the G.I. Joe team, vowing that he would help them bring Cobra down, and Storm Shadow as well, if need be. Even if it means dying himself in the process. He is an expert in blending into the purest of white snow, able to ambush Ice-Vipers and Snow Serpents with ease.
