The inspiration behind this figure was due to the fact that only the Sith are the most physically damaged among the Force users. Disregarding missing hands for Jedi characters, the Sith have always been in horrible conditions and require artificial limbs and life support systems to maintain and support their very own lives.

I thought it would be fun to take a Jedi Master and put him against all odds and never give into the Dark Side and have his physical appearance represent the sacrifices took to hold and maintain their beliefs and ideas.

Not much is mentioned about Cyfo-Dyas. This figure takes place after Dyas discovered that Count Dooku was in fact in league with the Sith and planned to use the Droid federations to bring war to the Galactic Republic. After surviving a vicious attack by Dooku and Darth Mual, he fled to Camino to begin the creation of a Clone army guided by a premonition from the Force that lead to the discovery of forthcoming events. The Phantom Menace saw that this would aid him to his benefit and began to manipulate the situation allowing the Clone war to unfold.
