Part of a trio of figures I did in February 2011. I have rather vivid memories associated with buying certain Joes as a kid, and one of the most fond is finding like 2/3 of the 1990 single carded figures at a Hills department store just before Valentine's Day. I recall the rather junky store covered in red, white and pink, with cards and heart-shaped boxes everywhere, and my brother and I taking our haul out to the parking lot and setting all the figures up on the dashboard while my mum continued her shopping. I was blown away by these figs at the time and the line-up still remains one of my faves to this day. I think they were sort of the POC of their time in terms of the gear they came with. I'd also say that 1990 was the last truly excellent, classic year of ARAH.

Sub-Zero - I've seen a couple renditions of him that wisely did away with the baby blue but I couldn't help myself. I like how that particular color contrasts with the mean expression.
