In the comic book series Devil's Due, it is established that Shipwreck is a Navy SEAL, which works for me, as I always kinda wondered what it was about Shipwreck that made him one of GI Joe's most recognized and versatile characters.

When Dollar General started releasing their excellent (and cheap) carded figures, I thought it was time to make the Shipwreck I always wanted. I thought the default baby blue that Shipwreck wears was not really in keeping with a SEAL, so I changed it to Navy, darkened his pants with NATO black (that's a color, apparently), and equipped him for a fight. I tried to make an homage to the character while at the same time adding a bit of realism to him. I'm thrilled with the result.

This was mostly a paint job and an assemblage of various parts, though the knife sheath had to be dremeled and glued onto his leg, and he's got new lower arms and boots. Thank you for looking, and feedback is appreciated.
