After successfully disrupting Spy Island's operations, the Adventure Team Commander sent personnel to various locations to root out and capture fugitive agents. Discovery of wreckage on an atoll not far from Spy Island led to the deployment of the newly commissioned Amphibious Adventurer to investigate. Despite its serene appearance, the tropical paradise may offer more challenges than this daring recruit has imagined.

I am a total newbie at 3.75" figure customizing. To date, I have never separated a body (intentionally) and my skills in sculpting and painting are, shall we say "in development". Nevertheless, I am eager to keep learning and trying new techniques. When I found the green version of Dollar General's Shipwreck, I picked up a few extras for custom projects. I thought his overall look was good for converting him to an Adventure Team member; he's bearded, wears a sweater and stocking cap (like the classic Spy Island set) and his cargo pants are worn loose at the ankle, less soldier-like. These features made for a pretty easy conversion. I only had to repaint a few items and add spare parts to my tastes. The idea of recreating the actual Spy Island look occurred to me, but I have seen some really good customs of that look already. I instead went with the idea of an original figure, the Amphibious Adventurer, to pay homage to the classic Action Marine and fill a gap in the Adventure Team's ranks. To give the figure a classic 1970's look, I painted the pants with the vintage Hasbro duck camouflage pattern and his watch cap black like the Spy Island cap. I printed "AT" logos for the sweater and base and applied them by means of decoupage to the respective pieces. sexlocals I scavenged parts which had the look and feel of classic items. The shoulder holster is a composite item although configured differently than the vintage style. I originally tried out an M3 "grease gun" another Spy Island item, but selected the M45 as it looks cooler while retaining the 1970's feel. I painted an angle-head flashlight red as a final touch paying homage to classic 70's GI Joe. Now, this adventurer is ready for action...except he'll need a boat.
