Doc has always been a pretty cool character. I was actually a little sad when Hama killed him off in the comic. I never used Doc much as a toy because his uniform didn't suit working in the field very well; he was always hanging around the base instead.
I wanted to make a Doc figure that I could get away from the base and take out into the field.

The paint apps on this custom are pretty minimal. I painted the helmet and lower half of the figure. The torso and arms are largely unpainted other than some minor details such as the elbow pads and the red cross (which doesn't look great, but it was painted by my shaky hands).

Overall it was really nice being able to put together a custom of a cool character that expands his role in my collection.
