It's a late night flight across the Atlantic. The passengers aboard Atlantica flight 3584 are settled into their seats, sipping cocktails or catching some zzz's. Suddenly, and violently terror strikes at 35,000 feet. The frightened passengers find themselves at the mercy of a small group of armed hijackers with nothing to lose. The passengers fear for their lives and begin to assume the worst. Others begin to pray...those prayers are answered in the unexpected form of the new GI Joe Sky Patrol.

This elite group of anti-terrorist experts specializes in daring high altitude rescue missions. Each with a different specialty and armed with the latest in technology, close quarters weapons and equipped with an EPAO (Easy Pack Always Open) parachute.

I was never a fan of the original Sky Patrol. I really liked each individual character, but they never felt like a cohesive team. They also never looked like the covert, behind enemy lines recon team they were intended to be.

I decided to switch things up, and put together a Sky Patrol team that specializes in missions that actually take place in the sky. Similar to the original team, I wanted to use original characters with one exception: Airborne. However, unlike the original team, I wanted them to have a color scheme that would tie them together, and make them look like an actual team.

The team consists of Chatterbox, Merlin, Airborne, Trauma, and Harrier.
The team is inspired by the movie Executive decision starring Kurt Russell and Steven Seagal.

Airborne was an easy choice for this team. I like the character and wanted to pay homage to the original Sky Patrol team leader, Skydive, so I used the same body
