Shreveport, Louisiana. People were disappearing left and right without a trace, and the authorities were stumped. Many of the missing persons were from the part of town where people don't usually go missing from.

Enter Lance Sputnik, well known private investigator. It took a bit of time, but Sputnik managed to crack the case. Local butcher and hemp farmer Juan Diablo had taken up a new hobby - forgery. He was a master. He would dig up dirt on his victims and then blackmail them, forcing them to leave town and take up new identities. He was very good. Once he was discovered, it was determined that he was targeting families with properties along the aqueduct. Beyond that, his motives are unclear.
