SteamPunk Crimson Guard
This was a custom I was doing for a group project but never finished in time. I've always loved the idea of Steampunk and when my cousin showed me this site and the project I thought I'd give it a try.
Crimson Guards were always one of my favorite trooper when I was younger, just the fact of running off into battle wearing bright red, I thought that was too cool. I later read that they were more "guards" and didn't run off into battle, but oh well.
When I went to turn him "steampunk", I noticed whenever there was a red character; it was more a brownish-red, almost a rust color. I tried my hardest to keep red in the brown color, but if I were to ever redo him, I think I would add even more red, as I feel he's still too brown.
I tried my hardest to push myself on this project and the combining of backpacks and wires and tubes were all new to me and I'm happy how they turned out.
One of the things I've always done in the past in miniature gaming was detailed stands. So I wanted to incorporate that into my figure. My plan was to always do that, but so far, I haven't lived up to that.
