Dragonfly was the code name I chose for my Steel Brigade self custom way back in 1987. He was named after my favorite character in the book series "The Sugar Creek Gang", not the helicopter. I've made many versions of him since then, and most of them end up with a flamethrower.

Since I was into G.I.Joe back when it first started in the early 80's, I wanted a version of my character that fit into the first incarnation of the new team.

If you read the file cards of the original 13 Joes, they had every specialty covered. Stalker was a medic, Scarlett was a sniper, Flash was CBR qualified, etc. what they didn't have was a flamethrower. I know, they can function fine without one, but now they don't have to.
