I loved the movie Space Camp. A young Joaquin Phoenix plays Max whose best friend is a Frank Welker voiced rolling ball robot named Jinx. Essentially playing the Artoo to Max's Luke. The problem is that Jinx is super literal. So when Max says he wishes he could go into space, Jinx makes it happen. He makes up for it by noticing a communication from the shuttle that the rest of Mission Control missed. Now he helps Payload and Countdown aboard the Crusader Shuttle.

I made this for NJC #88 Rise of the Robots. I knew right away I wanted to make him. The legs were the hardest since I wanted him to have his erector set legs with the ability to fold up so he could be a ball, stand straight, or squat to Max's height.
