Compound-Z is dangerous for many reasons but one that gets overlooked is its mutagenic capability. Not content to just raise the dead, we've seen how they develop abnormal appendages. But now something more sinister is at play as they've started to develop ways to spread the virus simply through physical contact. The subject known as Toxic Tentacle is the first we've seen in the field. A variant that appears to have a short Tentacle with barbs attached. From what we've been able to gather, it latches on pumping the victim full of compound-Z and then releasing. So far only one actual casualty has taken place but it's only a matter of time. What's the next mutation? How far does this go?
