I loved the addition of the Mortal Kombat figures to the Joes, even though they are not official Joes like Street Fighter.

I was in need of another Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat "bad guy" and thought of Goro. He was once a part of my Joe-verse, but I eventually began to shy away from the non-human, monster type characters.

I happened upon some Joe-style Japanese wrestler / MMA figures over 10 years ago. They were a little too big for Joes so they went into storage. That is, until I decided on a human Goro character. Goro needed to be tall, so all I had to do was find the proper parts. I didn't already have the Gracie figure, so I had to get one. Kind of expensive for an LBC, but worth it.

I went with the name Gongoro, because that was apparently the original name for Goro
