Following his failure in the "SWARM" project, Glitch hid himself away and remade himself -- literally. He adapted technology from various generations of B.A.T.s, especially the modular and self-repair aspects of several designs, and emerged describing himself as the ultimate cyborg and the perfect expression of weaponry and technology. He's determined to make up from previous failures, and sees Cobra Commander's most extreme project ever, the Artemis Cannon, as the perfect means of doing so.

From the Throne of Cobra Commander: "I always knew Glitch was a bit around the bend, but this --- this is insane even for him. As far as anyone's been able to figure, the only human part of him left is his brain, and to what degree that's in good working order is open to interpretation. I mean, he still stutters, even after all this! Nonetheless, he's convinced me that he might actually be able to take charge of one of my -- ahem -- more ambitious ideas, and make it work. And he's certainly well-suited to the environment now. Glitch will get his opportunity with the Artemis Cannon, and if he succeeds, it will be Cobra's greatest victory ever!"

When Bucky approached me about contributing a figure to the third round of Resurgence, we bounced a few ideas around until I asked if anyone was working on a new version of Glitch, my personal favorite character from the first two years of the project, and he let me take a crack at it.

I eventually combined my plans for Glitch with an idea I had for a Joe themed DARPA Big Dog robot, and started trying all sorts of random part combinations. When I came up with the basic build of the accessory robot, I thought it would be a neat play feature if its parts could be interchangeable with Glitch.

I tried to make use of parts that had been used for Glitch and some of the SWARM characters, suggesting that he had to rebuild himself using SWARM debris after the events of Resurgence 2.
