During his youth Shaft was member of a street gang. Nothing unusual for a kid from the Bronx. He lost some good friends along this way, but it was when his brother died that he decided to change his life and become a Joe. To make sure no other kid would loose a big brother like he did. And he decided to do that in New York, the city he always loved made part of.
