Head: NS Baroness w/sculpted hair
Chest/back (to waistline), arms: Star Wars- Princess Leia in Bespin attire
Waist, legs: Star Wars- Princess Leia in Death Star outfit
Skirt: Star Wars- Princess Leia in "How did the Ewoks make this so fast?" outfit

Design:

After making customs of James Bond and Alec Treveylan customs, Miss Moneypenny follows. Dalton is my favorite Bond, making Caroline Bliss the default Moneypenny. The bespectacled Baroness head makes this custom closest to Bliss' Moneypenny as in the two Dalton films, but with a different hairstyle.

The outfit is a generic outfit not seen in any of the Bond movies, but one that looks right for the character. Starting with the available fodder parts, this outfit puts Moneypenny in a sweater-skirt with tall boots. The design looks like it could be mid/late-80's or even contemporary.

The legs have no knee articulation, and the upper leg articulation and the waist articulation were lost adding the skirt. This is basically a statue with posable arms. One day, many years from now, I might run out of crappy parts to use and have to try to make a figure like this out of a HACKS blank. Why am I drawn to using junk parts? I wish I knew.

Colors & Paint:

This figure was originally going to be a solid color, aside from the dangling sash belt. But with the tall boots it looked too original Star Trek in red or blue. I shifted to violet for the top and black for the skirt, with a slight metallic wash on each. The golden blonde hair is tan with metallic yellow wash.

The skin tone on the head/neck and hands is matched to the legs, which are unpainted.

Sculpting & Modifying:

This was a pretty complex project.

The hair was removed from the Baroness head. The Baroness' collar was originally part of the neck, so it was epoxied over to blend into the neck. The freakishly wide Bespin Princess Leia neck was removed and a hole drilled to accept the Baroness head/neck. The Bespin Princess Leia torso was chopped at the waistline to accept the Celebration Princess Leia waist. The Ewok pal Princess Leia skirt was cut to raise several scale inches higher, while leaving the sash belt to drape.

The upper and lower bodies were combined, with epoxy sculpting to blend the two halves. I didn't set the belt exactly centered, so I sculpted the epoxy to look as if the fabric was "turned" slightly to match the twist in the hips. A swoop neck was added to sit at the base of the neck. The head was then set in place. Finally the hair was added, with a strand of hot glue to fill in the gap between the hair and the head.

The Bespin Leia head went to my Stiletto custom a month or so ago, leaving the rest of the figure available for parts. This was the first time (I think) that I've used classic Star Wars non-head body parts for a custom. The clean and smooth sculpt of the 1980 parts holds up even 37 years later. I was happy with the results.

Special thanks to Pluv and 2DARK2C who gave me pointers on how to make the lenses look like lenses. My frustration won out and I couldn't get either of their techniques to work, but the input is appreciated anyhow!

Thanks for looking.
